5.21

May 21st . . . On this day I married my true love and exactly two years later we have a baby due. Needless to say, this date holds a very special place in my heart.

I'm so blessed to have Sean in my life. He's an incredible husband, my best friend and he's going to be a wonderful father.

Waiting

We've been in Anchorage just under one month waiting for Peanut to arrive. Luckily, Colin has been there to help us pass the time. Sean spent the afternoon teaching Colin the fine art of good golf swing. As you can see, Colin was a quick study!

Maybel Knows

The entire month before we left for Anchorage, Maybel was my constant companion. Even when we were taking the 36 Week Picture she stayed by my side. I definately think that she knows that something major is about to happen.

Everything is going well with the baby. She hasn't given me any indication that she's ready to make an appearance anytime soon. Our Doctor told me today that if the baby is not here a week after her due date, she'll induce labor then. I'm so excited to meet this little girl!

Aqua Infusion

Before

Peanut's room renovation is well underway. Sean began Friday by tearing out the molding, the closet components and painted the ceiling and closet a crisp white. He followed up yesterday with a vibrant color of Aqua Infusion on the walls. Today's project consists of painting and installing the molding (and possibly painting the dresser).

It had been quite a while since the paint purchase was made, and I was beginning to worry that the color wouldn't be right. I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when I walked (more like waddled) into the room and found that it was the exact shade I had dreamt of.
Room After

Closet After

Sean has done such a wonderful job! I look forward to the day that I can show Peanut these pictures of her Daddy's hard work.

I think it'll be a fun room when we finally get it pulled together.

25 Pounds of Love

Not too long ago, nine months sounded like an awful long time. I thought it would take forever to feel the baby move and to have a big round belly. Well it didn't take very long at all. In fact, I am having a hard time accecpting that I'm already in the third trimester and that in a few short months, this little baby won't be a physical part of me. Soon she'll be this little person with a personality and a life of her own. From her birth day on, Sean & I will just be there to help her along and provide her with amazing amounts of love.

Meanwhile, I plan to enjoy every moment I can of this pregnancy. Peanut has cut back on some of her ninja moves and has replaced them with rolls and other movements that I can only catergorize as squirms.

I've gained a total of 25 lbs, which completely blows my mind. In fact, I had to replace the 'monthly picture outfit' with a new shirt and a new pair of jeans. The outfit in the picture is by the same company & design as the first, but it's a whole new size: from small to large in 28 weeks!

She's Scrappy!

She may be little; but this baby is scrappy! It appears that the baby has been studying up on her advanced karate moves. . . . She now kicks and moves with such force that I can actually see her move. It's unreal!

Several weeks ago, Eli was napping on my lap (well as much of my lap as he can fit onto now) and the baby kept kicking him. Of course I thought this was purely coincidental - until Eli moved over to the left side of my stomach. A few minutes later, the baby followed and began kicking Eli again. For my own test I moved Eli to the opposite side, and sure enough she showed up and began beating on my dog again. She's not even born yet, and the two are already fighting!!!
