Chalk

All the outside toys in the world cannot compare with chalk. Addison loves to decorate our entire driveway with her art.

I drew a picture of Addison and she finished the mural by adding, Tudie, Mommy, Daddy, Hailey, Shannon, Rachael, Monka & Ireland.

Our driveway was full of all kinds of important people. With more to come . . .

Alaskan Summer

So, it's been so very nice here; but the 60s are not a reason for me to break out shorts. My girl thinks that those new shorts she got for her Birthday need to be put to use.

So as funny as it looks . . . we compromised:

She was happy.

She was even happier once her swing was put back up for the season:

Oh, the joy!

Picnics & Bugs!

We were fortunate to have a long stretch of beautiful weather.

Addison and I ate all meals but three outdoors in an eight day stretch. It was so great!

After the lunch was gone, it was time to examine all of the bugs she could.

Oh man, does this girl love bugs! And picnics!

Birthday Celebration Continued

Miss Hailey, Miss Whitney & Mrs. Shannon surprised Addison with a visit and a Blues Clues balloon the day after her birthday.

Little Whitney and Sean hung out indoors . . .

Check out that look Whitney gave me - I think she was wanting me to leave her be so she could take a nap.

Anyhow, while they stayed indoors Addison and Hailey put on fancy dresses and played in the bounce house:

They were so cute!

Check out Addison's funny face:

Both girls ended up laying down for half a second, and Addison tried to cuddle with Hailey. Hailey didn't seem to like the pinned-down-feeling. But it was so cute!

Aww . . . sweet girls!

Tiny Baby Love

Addison received a dollhouse for her Birthday. It came with a tiny little baby, who has received some special treatment.

Like rocking in the big chair while Addison patted her little back . . . .

Followed by some careful tucking in . . .

Before she's lovingly put in bed.

Addison's Third Birthday

Addison's third Birthday was on Wednesday, May 26th. Addison and I spent the beautiful day celebrating.

There was a whole lot of jumping, running and playing.

It was such a great day.

We started it out by celebrating with this sweet kiddo:

His newborn brother

along with Rachael & Mrs. Beck.

The weather was gorgeous so we played in the bouncehouse, with chalk, bubbles, bikes and . . .

we had a nice picnic in the front yard.

It was a lovely morning.

After her nap Addison opened cards and received phone calls from our family & friends.

Once Sean got home we were joined by Monka, Grandpa Kirk and Uncle Kyle for cupcakes and Addison's favorite dinner: tacos.

She was so very excited about ORANGE candles. She talked about having ORANGE candles the entire day before her birthday.

Check out this expression:

She really didn't want anything to do with the actual cupcake; but she happily picked the sprinkles off and ate those.

Then we were onto gifts:

She seemed to have a strategy: Opening the gifts by size. She worked from the smallest to the largest. It surprised us all.

This was the best reaction out of all the gifts:

All for a pair of Tinkerbell shorts and a tee shirt.

Very happy with her new dishes from Uncle Kyle. She's trying to see all of the pieces.

A proud Father of a THREE YEAR OLD!

She danced the entire way to Monka . . .

just to give her the best Birthday hug.

The first gift that got put to use:

MICKEY MOUSE COSTUME!!!

Of course, these two guys wanted pictures with Mickey Mouse.

It was like our very own Disneyland!

Then we made our way outside . . .

to put the final gift to use: A Big Girl Bike!

In her Mickey Mouse costume no less!

What a fantastic and blessed three years!

Happy Birthday!! We love you!
