Baby Archer

It seems that my blog may be turning into a tribute to Ireland & his family; but really, they had a lot happen in two very short weeks. Ireland's Birthday and then Archer's Birth Day.

Ireland is an amazing big brother to that gorgeous baby boy.

Family of four . . . WOW!

Sweetest Big Brother ever.

Okay, Rachael is a true champ. She has a baby and was immediately ready for visitors. These pictures were taken several hours after Archer was born. She was in the hospital for such a short period - I would've had to start having my mail delivered at the hospital if I had done that! :)

She's a very proud Momma of two great boys!

Addison came along to meet Archer too. She spent the majority of her time there soaking up attention from Ireland's grandparents.

Okay, I had them ALL looking and ALL smiling and I messed up the picture. DANG-IT! I knew that I shoud've taken my camera off of auto . . . .

I just love Ireland's face in these next two pictures.

How cute are those Big Brother Scrubs?!

Addison got to hold Archer too. She giggled uncontrollably when Archer moved his cheeks and nose, "just like a bunny." When Archer yawned I said look at his little tongue. Addison follows it up with, "I have a big tongue. See?" And just as Joey snaps the picture we get this:

Too funny.

Thankfully we got another picture where it doesn't look like she's treating the baby like an ice cream cone.

Sweet Archer, we are so excited to watch you grow. Ireland is a fabulous Big Brother who will teach you SO MUCH. On top of that you've got amazing parents who love you so very much. Welcome to the world little buddy. Congratulations Rachael, Ireland and Joey!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY IRELAND!

I was in childbirth class with his Momma. NOW, he's three! THREE! How the heck?

He's a pretty dang cute three year old - don'tcha think?

Ireland celebrated his birthday with a party at the local rec center. Great place to let the kids RUN!

And run Addison did! She didn't nap the day of the party and she ran and ran and ran. (It was a good, early night for us - yea!)

This picture makes me smile. It looks almost as if Ireland is looking back to make sure everything is okay with Addison. Ahh, sweet boy!

Ice cream, cake and dinosaurs. I actually had to tell Addison that the dinosaurs were not edible. Hehe!

The night before the party, Addison became very concerned that she wouldn't be able to sit next to Ireland at his party. :) Rachael made sure she was able to sit next to her favorite little guy.

There's my TWO YEAR OLD. Yes, two. She's not three until the 26th. That means I will consider her two until then. So there. But she sure isn't lookin' two these days is she?

Buddies. Love it.

Happy Birthday Ireland! Can't wait to share Addison's third year with you.

Big things are certainly in your future. No doubt about it.

We love you Ireland!

The Sheen

While we were having ice cream with Hailey's family, we talked briefly about a cruise Hailey is taking her family on next month. Justin made a comment about going through the Oil Sheen. We laughed about it; but I don't think we mentioned anymore about the oil spill. As you already know, Addison and Hailey were off playing - who knew they were still listening. . . . . Three days later, while I was watching Good Morning America, Addison totally shocked both Sean & I. The tv show began to show coverage of the spill and out of nowhere Addison says, "That's where Hailey is going on her cruise." Sean & I stared at each other in complete disbelief.

So, lesson learned. No matter how much fun they are having playing, kids still hear. everything. Thank goodness this wasn't anything that she shouldn't hear - but from now on those conversations will be held, far, far away from my nosey little one! :)

More on the oil spill . . . .

The person - a Martian in an astronaut helmet
The large circle - Earth
The small circle - the Moon
The orange squigly at the bottom of the page - Oily Water.

Hmmm, think it's also time to keep the news far, FAR away from her too. Which is too bad since she's Robin Roberts biggest fan. Seriously.

Addison's Art

Addison has really been impressing us with her art for quite sometime now. I've been taking pictures of her drawings; but can't seem to find them on my computer right now. Here are a few that I recently caputred with my cell phone that I absolutely love:

Mommy in an Astronaut outfit in Outer Space (with a Magic Wand in the right hand, of course):

Maybel In Outer Space With Mommy:

Don't you just love how Maybel has a space helmet on too? ADORABLE!

Both Pictures together:

A tulip with Mickey on it. To the left: a blue watering can

Fancy Guy:

Maybel:

Okay, I'll have MANY more of these kinds of posts in the future - specially once I locate all of her previous pictures. This girl LOVES to color and I LOVE to see what she comes up with all on her own!

Brown Eyes & Ice Cream

A week or so back we went to have Ice Cream with Hailey and her family. It. Was. SO. Much. FUN! Luckily Shannon had her camera there to capture the date.

Wonder what Addison said to Hailey to get this ADORABLE reaction:

Once the ice cream was finished (of course, Addison didn't eat a bite) it was time to run off the sugar buzz (or just energy)

If only you could hear all of our laughter. These girls were so funny!

The next two pictures are why Brown Eyes are in the title of this post.

Seriously. They both have perfect chocolate brown eyes.

Then the quota of gorgeous chocolate brown eyes was met when little Jovi showed up.

My littlest buddy was there too. This sweet, sweet baby. She is so special. I just love seeing her grow. Although I don't want her to grow out of taking naps on my shoulder!

I've said it over and over . . . I just love watching these girls together. Their pictures remind me of pictures of myself with one of my cousins when we were growing up. Their age range is just enough that they can play well together and still learn from each other.

Hailey, Addison really likes playing with you. As soon as you two are apart Addison is asking about you and always looks forward to your next playdate.

Good heavens Girls, could you BE any more adorable?

Pedaling is a weird word.

Last year for Addison's Birthday we got her a trike. Poor kid - she couldn't even reach the pedals. Isn't that mean? Giving a kid a toy that they aren't able to really use for their birthday??!! Who the heck is this child's mother??!!

So a year later we broke the trike out to go ride with Ireland. It didn't last long. Before I could run in the house and grab the camera she was done with her trike. Addison can reach them now; but just couldn't get the pedals down. One time when she tipped the trike over she said to Rachael & I, "There's something not quite right here."

So while Sean was off work this week he gave her a quick lesson . . .

And it didn't take long . . .

Before . . .

She was pedaling all on her own!!

Then it was time to celebrate with some jumping . . .

And some dancing!

Then she was back on the move . . . . .

But only for a short bit - it was time to walk the trike back home.

It was so much fun watching her jump up and down while shouting, "I did it! I did it!" So it seems that Sean and I weren't the only ones who were proud of the latest accomplishment. I love that.

THAT Little Face

Addison makes this face so often.

Usually she makes this face when she's saying, " I don't think . . . I think . . . "

When I took this picture last night she was saying, "I don't think Daisy Duck likes pink. I think she like purple."

I just love that little face!

Dock Kitty

Since Addison had such a great time watching the boats a few days earlier, Sean & I decided to go down to the docks with Addison. We figured she'd love to see the boats.

Did ya see what she was looking at? There was a kitty on the boat next to her.

So . . . the boats, EVEN Nemo's, just weren't that exciting.

But Poppy the Dock Kitty was.

Poppy lives on a sailboat and he walks the docks and jumps from boat to boat as he pleases. Thankfully he was a sweet kitty and let Addison get some kitty-time. Look at how happy that girl is!

Waving good-bye to her new kitty friend.

Even though the boats weren't as exciting as we had expected; we had fun walking the docks with Addison in between us holding our hands while singing her favorite songs at the top of her lungs. Everyone we walked past couldn't help but smile and I don't blame them one bit!
