Yaddison

Okay, so the previous post kind of made it seem like my two girls don't get along. And that is far from the truth. Addison loves May-May almost as much as May loves Addison.

One of the BIG accomplishments of late is Addison learning to spell her name. She doesn't do it everytime - but most times! Especially if you give her a head start with the first two or three letters. So with this new bit of knowledge, Addison spelled her name out with her alphabet puzzle pieces. For some reason Addison insisted on putting the Y at the beginning. Hmm . . . Maybe she thought her name needed an extra splash of purple?

Anyhow, check out who Addison showed her name to:

Yep, none other than her "Dog-Pal-May-May." And doesn't Maybel look like she's actually taking it all in?

Snack Time for Addison & May-May

So when it's snack-time for Addison, it's usually snack-time for Maybel too. If Addison can, she'll sit as close as possible to Maybel and secretlyshare her snack with the dog. Even though Maybel shouldn't have the food (she's allergic to almost everything), I pretend not to notice.

I think it's sweet that she wants to share . . . Is that so bad??!!

This Little One doesn't think so . . . and I bet May-May appreciates it too.

Even though she's got her mouth full and food on her face, I just like these pictures!

Eli, Nut-Job-Eli

Okay, for those who haven't been to our house recently its time I share an embarrassing fact with you. Ahh . . the horror. Okay, here it is: Eli wears a diaper. Yep, you read that right; my 7-pound-nut-job-dog wears an actual diaper. Oh the humiliation!

When Addison began walking, Eli began marking inside the house. He was neutered early as a puppy, but even still he cannot seem to fight the urge to mark. Because of the timing of his new-found, dare I say: skill; its presumed that he is marking in a disgusting attempt to tell Addison that this is HIS house.

So $500+ later our carpets have been cleaned and Eli wears a diaper. He looks like an idiot with that diaper wrapped around his mid-section; but it is his only option if he wants to continue living in OUR house.

The part that puzzles me the most is that he actually LIKES wearing his diapers. Seriously! He gets excited when I come near him with one. Just another way that Eli is not quite right.

I am a bit concerned on how this may affect my daughter. Understandably she believes all dogs wear diapers.

Here she is trying to diaper Maybel's head:

Giving Maybel a kiss for being such a good diapering subject:

What a good dog Maybel is and yes, at times nut-job-Eli too.

Having Snow Much Fun!!

I took Addison to play out in the snow for the first time. At first she seemed concerned by the cold stuff but it quickly grew on her and she had a lot of fun.

Maybel must have been a bit worried for Addison because she never left her side for more than a few minutes.

Okay, she may have been a bit over-dressed. If I don't get a handle on myself she is going to end up like the little brother from The Christmas Story. Remember him? His Mom bundled him up in so many layers that he couldn't put his arms down and when he fell over he couldn't stand back up on his own!

After playing in the snow, Addison was a bit tuckered out.

The Chair

We did buy the chair for Addison, and evidently she is not the only one who can use it . . .
