Pumpkin Bumpkin

Halloween was so much fun this year! It was Addison's first Halloween in town and boy, this little one was busy!

First she attended a costume party at Ireland's house. She had a lot of fun playing with the other kids while us Mommies gushed over the kids' costumes.

Poor little Rachel wasn't sure about wearing a costume and was definitely not gonna have her picture taken in it!!

This picture just cracks me up. It looks like Ireland is trying to get away from that lil Monkey by hiding behind Addison's costume!!

Hangin' with her peeps . . .

Ireland & Addison's costumes complimented each other so well. Their pictures together were so cute I couldn't pick my one favorite so here are a few:

It looks as almost they're saying to each other, "Yeah, you're Mom got to you too, eh?" You know, thats probably what they WOULD say if they were Canadian!

After the costume party we were off to Grandma & Grandpa's for a little trick or treating.

She's figuring this whole Grandparent thing out . . .

. . . just flash 'em a smile and get whatever you want!!

After a dinner break, Sean came home from work and we were off to the Halloween carnival. Addison loved it there - she just wanted to use all of that wide-open space to run in! Sean could hardly catch her as she zoomed from one end of the gym to the other.

Final stop for the night was to Nemo's. She kinda digs him . . . can you tell?

And here is a shot of her trying her costume on for the first time. Obviously she loved it from the start - and, not that it really matters, but so did I!!

Addy's Great Pumpkin

Uncle Kyle came over yesterday and we carved Addison's first pumpkin!

After checking out the insides of her pumpkin, she decided the top needed to go back on. She had no intention of getting involved in that mess!!

Once her apprehension wore off, she dove right in and eagerly pulled out handful after handful of pumpkin guts! Kyle, by the way, was completely disgusted with the term pumpkin guts.

See Kyle! Pumpkin Guts!!

Addison only attempted two or three small tastes. She really wasn't impressed by the flavor. However, the pumpkin mustache stuck around for awhile.

Diggin' deep!

She was just so proud of herself. After she would put a big clump of goo in the bowl, she clapped and yelled, "Yea!" So cute!

Unfortunately, the battery for my camera died before we finished. So I don't have a picture of Addison covered in the Pumpkin Goo, but let me tell you she was covered from head to toe. Her socks were so gooey she could barely stand on them! Luckily she is small enough that I was able to pop her right into the kitchen sink and hose her off. The 'shower' ended up being the highlight of the day. Go figure!!

Addison's first Jack-O-Lantern. Cute, if I do say so myself!! The single tooth on the bottom was to commemorate Addison's first molar that we just noticed yesterday. Now she has 7 teeth (4 on top, and 3 below)!!

Checking her Jack-O-Lantern and flameless candle out.

Getting a CLOSE look!

Yep, I think she approves.

Chuck's Great Pumpkin

Who doesn't remember watching Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown as a kid? It only seemed right that Addison got to participate in that Halloween tradition.

I know, I know . . . babies shouldn't watch tv. Go ahead. Judge me. She loved it and I'm pretty sure she'll do it again next year!

Addison's First Halloween

I love holidays; especially the big three: Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year I'm even more excited about the holidays because I get to share them with Sean AND Addison. Addison's first Halloween was a two day event.

First up was Trick-or-Treat-Town with the Hubbells. Even though Addison had no idea what was going on she really seemed to enjoy watching all of the people wandering around 'the town.' Will seemed to enjoy the trick-or-treating. He was so cute. He was so excited about his candy collection that he tried eating most of his candy as he received it. After Trick-or-Treat-Town we all got together at our 'New York-style apartment' for yummy Mooses Tooth pizza.

On Halloween night we went to Aunt Katie's & Uncle Phil's house for a little costume party with all of Addison's cousins. Addison put on quite the show when she saw Conall. She kicked her arms and legs then squealed in excitement. I can't believe how excited she was to see another baby.

She also met her Lola (Sean's Mom) for the first time.

For more fun, Aunt Katie got Addison a Halloween shirt, hat and socks.

Uncle Clint and Addison work on their BOO! Technique.
