In two days Addison will be 8 months old - EIGHT MONTHS! Holy canoli!
The past month has been an eventful one for our little girl. Not only has Addison sprouted her first tooth she has learned to wave, sleep all night in her crib (yea for restful nights), pull herself up and *gulp* crawl.
Her uncle Kyle said it best, "Addison is stuck in reverse". My sweet baby only crawls backwards - even when she really wants something in front of her. By the time she ends up at the opposite side of the room, the desired object is completely forgotten. Sometimes she seems so determined to go forward that she'll push her tiny tush straight up with her hands and feet on the floor (it's absolutely adorable), then drop back to her knees and take off in reverse!
Now that Addison is mobile I want to hold her every chance I get because I know that it's only a matter of time that she'll prefer crawling to cuddling. I love snuggling with my little baby and hope that she doesn't grow out of it too soon!
Being home with Addison I worry that she won't get the kind of interaction with babies her age that she needs. Lola is an adorable baby that is three months younger than Addison and was able to come over and play with her. When we held the babies standing up facing each other they held hands - how cute is that!!?? Addison enjoys taking off her socks and I think she wanted to share her joy with Lola because she kept grabbing at Lola's socks!
Addison has a great laugh - it is the most beautiful sound in the world. It doesn't take much to get her to laugh these days. Most of the time you can make a funny face or lightly tickle her neck and you're rewarded with the sweetest giggle. We've even started a game of 'pop my cheeks' that she just thinks is hysterical.
