Jump, Jump, Jump, JUMP!

As soon as I could hold her up standing on my lap Addison would jump.

And two years later she hasn't quit.

A-D-D-I-S-O-N

She's been able to spell Mickey Mouse FOREVER. So within the past month, Addison has decided she wanted to spell her name too. She hasn't been consistent with it until this past week, which has made it easier to get her on video.

This is one proud Momma.

Bang!

Ever watch Big Bang Theory?

Know the opening song?

Addison does.

Yaddison

Okay, so the previous post kind of made it seem like my two girls don't get along. And that is far from the truth. Addison loves May-May almost as much as May loves Addison.

One of the BIG accomplishments of late is Addison learning to spell her name. She doesn't do it everytime - but most times! Especially if you give her a head start with the first two or three letters. So with this new bit of knowledge, Addison spelled her name out with her alphabet puzzle pieces. For some reason Addison insisted on putting the Y at the beginning. Hmm . . . Maybe she thought her name needed an extra splash of purple?

Anyhow, check out who Addison showed her name to:

Yep, none other than her "Dog-Pal-May-May." And doesn't Maybel look like she's actually taking it all in?

The Best Nest

Our days are filled with imaginary play.

Addison is a "little yellow bird in a nest."

The only part wrong with this is that Maybel doesn't exactly understand the PRETENDING concept. And she certainly doesn't understand why the pretend nest is invading Maybel's favorite spot of the room.

Let the exchange of dirty looks begin.

Little Yellow Bird ended up finding a new place to keep her nest.

Thankfully.

Now, I've just got to figure out how to get Maybel to answer to 'Pluto,' for when Addison decides to BE Minnie or Mickey!

Freeze Time

Ever want to freeze time, or at least slow time down?

This first picture was taken at Ireland's first birthday party a year and a half prior to the Christmas photo.

Certainly not babies anymore. They are so big!

Can't imagine what they will look like in the third birthday photo this May!!

Magna-Doodle Mickey

Hey, have ya heard? Mickey is a big deal around here.

Check out this Mickey Mouse Addison drew by herself.

Pretty dang cool, eh?

Oh and the outfit . . . Hey, when a girl is sick she's gotta do whatever it takes to make her feel better. Even if it is a flower on the top of your head.

Clubhouse Gang

So it seems that our Disneyland vacation could not be coming at a better time. And here's why:

Roped up into this same trip we will be meeting my Doctor at the Mayo Clinic (in Minnesota) for my one-year check. I whole heartedly expect to learn that I am TUMOR FREE!!! It will be ALL I'll say all that day. So, even though the doctor is scheduled AFTER our Disneyland visit, we plan to pre-celebrate the good news in the magical kingdom. How perfect.

And just as exciting Addison is IN LOVE with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the entire Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang. So much so, she demonstrated each characters' smile for me:

"This is how Mickey smiles Mommy!"

The Minnie Mouse Smile

A Daisy Duck Smile

Donald Duck's smile

Pluto's smile - I just love how she had to sit down for this one

And of course, Goofy's smile

The majority of our days are spent with us pretending to be one of the Clubhouse gang. It looks like all of that pretending has paid off. If you as me, she's mastered their look. :)

We're going to . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . DISNEYLAND!!!

Excitement is running high in our house these days as we make our plans. Yipppee!

Totem Poles

Addison is incredibly interested in totem poles these days.

She built a few for me and she was so proud!

Does it show?

Apron & Oven Mitts

It's not my genetic material that influences her to wear these . . .

And yes, she was wearing her ballerina jammies again. They're quite popular these days!

Impressing a Two Year Old

I got my computer back yesterday! Want proof? Here is a quick post - FROM YESTERDAY!

Wanna impress a two year old?

Break out the old popcorn popper circa 1983. You know, the thing our parents used before microwave popcorn appeared and forever changed our world!

Of course, if you're not feeling nostalgic and yet still would like to impress - break out a very old, very small box.

Either way, you're sure to win.
