A Year Later

It is completely amazing the difference that one year can make . . .

Clint's 25th birthday fell on Thanksgiving this year and he was able to come down for the holiday!

Look at the changes here . . .

Peek-a-Boo Gone Wrong

With Addison not feeling so great, there was a lot of sitting around and cuddling.

But she did have the energy to play off and on. While playing near the dog water bowl, she took a tumble and landed tush-first into the water. I pulled her out as quick as possible; but her pants, socks and onesie were soaked! Addison rarely goes without a onesie, but she didn't have much of a choice while we were waiting for hers to get cleaned. So she hung out in a pair of doll's pants, her slippers and shirt - sans onesie.

While wearing her interesting outfit, Addison decided that this was the perfect time to entertain everyone with a game of Peek-A-Boo.

Peek - A - . . .

. . . Boo!

She was having so much fun using her shirt to hide in!

Here's another boo! Look how happy she is!

Then Peek-A-Boo went wrong . . . .

Very wrong . . .

Wait a minute!!!

Where's my shirt going?

Well, now, how'd this happen?

Everyone is laughing, so I might as well go with it!!!

Cool party trick!

Oh! Hi Gramps!!

This is such a fun game . . .

. . . That Uncle Clint tried it too!

Pretty proud of her show . . .

Turkey & Tylenol

Thanksgiving started out a bit rough this year. Addison woke up with a runny nose (which she rarely ever has) and was pretty fussy. As she is working on a few molars, I assumed (and hoped) that she was just teething.

Later in the day, I got her into her Thanksgiving dress, but it after a few minutes, I realized that it was more than just teething. She was out. of. it. Spacey and tired, I snapped a few pictures of her and called it good.

The dress was replaced with a comfy cotton outfit (who wants to deal with a dress when they feel bad anyhow?). Then we headed over the river and through the woods to Grandma's.

Without much of an appetite, Addison played with her yummy dinner then passed on the turkey for baby tylenol.

We both ended up with colds that lasted for a week and a half. Yuck.

A Thanksgiving w/ Training Wheels

Okay. This year, I made the turkey. Don't faint.

As you can see from the picture, it wasn't much of a spread - just the staples as the Kirkendalls know it: Turkey, corn, stuffing, fresh bread rolls, potatoes & gravy - oh and a veggie platter before dinner. It's nowhere near the spread my Mom & most people put together for Thanksgiving, but since this was only the fourth meal I've ever made; I figured I'd better keep it simple. BTW: The stuffing was absolutely awful (we threw it away)!
