Holiday Drive-By

Santa got himself a new set of wheels. You know . . . Incase those reindeer aren't up for the task later this week.

Santa took his new rig on a test drive, through our neighborhood with sirens, lights and all . . .

We ran outside as fast as we could - just in time to hear him exclaim as he drove out of sight "Merry Christmas Peanut!!!"

How did he know??!?!!

This is how rest of the night was spent . . .

On the off-chance Santa got the urge to go for another joy ride in the freezing rain!!

Rudolph Review

Rudolph, my darling little red-nosed buddy, you were not only my favorite holiday television special, but you seem to be Addison's as well.

Hangin' With the BMOC

Last weekend Addison sat with Santa at the Alyeska Kids' Christmas Party!

As you can tell, there is no Santa Anxiety here!

She was happy to point out what she wanted for Christmas . . .

"I'll take one of those . . . and one of those!!"

And to wave at all the people who were encouraging her to smile . . .

But when it came time to smile for the camera she just wasn't into it.

When I asked her to show me her teeth, she did just that . . .

She pointed to them.

Ahhh . . . sweet little girl . . .

If you're still wondering . . .BMOC: Big Man of Christmas (heard that somewhere before)!!

The After-Party

I kept Addison's Christmas Party guest list down to just little ones she knows who are around her same age and I had a very hard time with that!! She has some bigger friends that I would have loved to have over (and their Mommies too) but with the bouncy house I decided to keep it small for the safety reasons.

Unfortuately, Brandy & Bella were out of town, but we were able to have Miss Kailyn along with her little brother, Charlie and her Mom, Staci over after the party to play with Shannon, Hailey, Addison & I!!

Okay, doesn't everyone have at least one? At least one picture that brings tears to their eyes because it is just so darn sweet? Well, here is the lead-up to my most recent 'tear-jerker-pictures.'

And here is THE picture.

I can't completely explain it. I don't know if it tugs at my heart because I see my girl being sweet to someone else, or if it is because a Big Girl (Addison just strives for all big girls' attention) was giving a minute to be incredibly nice to my baby. Either way I just love this picture. To Miss Kayiln, my dear, you've always been such a special girl to me and I will never be able to fully thank you enough for being so sweet. Your Mom has done an awesome job raising you!!!!

Here are some more fun pictures of them all playing together!

This so not a good picture, but if I had only been on it, it would have been! Here is Addison giving Kailyn a BIG kiss! She must have been thanking Kailyn for coming over to play!

Tot Christmas Party

Addison hosted her first Christmas party! And we had a great time! We had four little ones around her age over to meet Santa, play in the bouncy house (Christmas gift from Uncle Kyle) and eat treats! Addison had a blast playing with her buddies!! I had a great time getting together with the Moms and the little ones. We haven't been to a play date the past few weeks (just waaay too busy) so it was fun catching up!

Santa just hangin' with his peeps.

Ireland wasn't too keen on Santa.

Addison & Hailey diving into the pall-pit end of The Contraption!

Yes, I 'tested' it out before everyone came. hehehe

Whew! Playing this hard is a lot of work!

Hailey playing in the pall pit!

The quality of this picture is just terrible (I tell you, that flash & I are not getting along) but the subjects are just too sweet to leave out!

Happy boy, Dalen!

Addison thanking Uncle Kyle for the great gift!

Twilah and her little guy

Ireland and the fire truck collection!

Everyone wants to sit on Rachael's lap!

Pretty mother and daughter picture

Ireland giving Addison a hug - she tried to blow him a kiss and call it good; but he got his hug anyhow!

Crazy hair!

Little Rachel just wasn't sure what to think about the whole thing and stayed close to her Mom.

All tuckered out after a big day!

Lil Lady in Red

Addison has quite the social calendar this month and no more so than this week.

She's holding it all together very well. She's been a little lady at each function she has attended.

We've been very proud taking our girl out to dinners and parties where she will sit and color quietly at the dinner table just as easily as she 'socializes' with other party-goers!!

The night that these pictures were taken Addison did EVERY Itsy Bitsy Spider movement for the first time! Just check out that 'Spider Technique!'

Thanks for the great dress Paula G!!

Little SnowAngel

Okay, I don't have the amounts or even a guess as to how much snow has fallen over the past three days; but I can say it is A LOT!!

Yesterday morning Addison and I went outside to play in the fresh powder. The sun wasn't up yet - in fact it was a long ways from rising, but we still managed to get pictures (I REALLY have to figure out the 'trick' to this new flash, or into a snowbank it goes!!).

Addison is a true Alaskan . . . She LOVES the snow! She was so excited to go outside. She kept asking if we were going to see the 'bubbles' (Addison-Speak for snowflakes) while I was bundling her up.

Her main project outdoors was just standing herself up in the snow. I don't know if it was the boots or the snow, but she was never able to stay up for very long. But with her growing independence, she rarely asked for "Epp" or Help as we know the word to be.

There was a face-plant; however that did require a bit of help . .

A good mom would have thrown the camera down and helped her child. But she has me. I took a picture and THEN threw the camera down as I came to her rescue! :)

The sled is a huge hit! I searched everywhere online to find someone who would ship a sled to us at a decent rate and had NO luck. Then one day, walking down the aisle of our little grocery store I found this little treasure. Only $17.99!! It was mine!! I mean, Addison's. It was Addison's!!

Notice the mittens?? She WILLINGLY wears them these days. ;)
